Dealing with debt can be a demanding and difficult process. Knowing what your rights are can relieve some of the pressure of being in debt and prevent you from compounding the problem. NLSA offers brochures explaining Collection Procedures and information on Ending Harassment from Bill Collectors as well as Student Loans. There is also a copy of IRS Publication 4156 "Tax Benefits and Credits" which contains information on federal tax benefits and credits for taxpayers with children.

NLSA also offers full service and/or advice in other areas of consumer law, such as mortgage foreclosure and debt counseling. To see if your case is eligible for full service representation, contact the NLSA office which serves your county.
